Schatzberg captured intimate portraits of generations of the most notable artists, celebrities and thinkers. His sitters include Edie Sedgwick, Jimi Hendrix and Robert Rauschenberg whilst his most famous portraits were used on the cover of Bob Dylan’s 1966 album Blonde on Blonde. With work published in Vogue, McCall’s, Esquire, Glamour, and Life in the 1960’s, Schatzberg is not only renowned for his skills as a photographer but has also built a successful career as a film director with titles such as Puzzle of a Downfall Child, The Panic in Needle Part and Scarecrow.
